Renewal Requirements: 

Commercial, Noncommercial, Noncommercial Political: 

These licenses must be renewed annually. The licensee must complete five (5) Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) each year to be eligible to renew, with one (1) credit each from two (2) of the following: Laws and Regulations | Integrated Pest Management | Drift Minimization

Private, Certified Private:

Private applicator licenses and certificates are valid for five (5) years, and the applicator must obtain 15 CEUs during that time to renew, including two (2) credits in Laws and Regulations and two (2) credits in Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

Private applicators may earn the required credits by passing the recertification exam that includes questions on information covered in Continuing Education Courses (CEUs). If an applicator passes the exam, a certificate of completion for 15 CEUs will be issued by the TDA.

Change of Information:

Per TDA and Texas Administrative Code (rule 7.20) requires all licensees to notify the department within 30 days of any change in the information provided as part of the application for a license. Licensees MUST:

  1. Complete a signed Change of Information Form
  2. Submit form via

    3. Mail: Texas Department of Agriculture, Licensing Division, P.O. Box 12847, Austin, TX 78711
