GBRA Scholarship | The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) invites the high school seniors of the following 10 counties in GBRA’s service area: Caldwell, Calhoun, Comal, DeWitt, Hays, Kendall, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Refugio, and Victoria to apply to the GBRA Scholarship Program. Scholarship winners will receive up to $ 2500 awarded to their first semester of a four-year or two-year university, community college, technical or trade school. If chosen as a recipient, scholarships will be awarded as a one-time tuition reimbursement to recipient or institution of choice. Recipients must show proof of payment made to the institution in order to receive their scholarship. If scholarship is to be paid directly to university/college, confirmation of the student’s enrollment at the institution of choice must be provided even if the school has not officially billed the student for classes. Recipients may attend any accredited 4-year or 2-year university, community college, technical or trade school. Recipients must be enrolled full time at 12 hours per semester. Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarship | Types: Baccalaureate Scholarships Technical Certification Scholarships Collegiate Scholarships Courageous Heart Scholarships How to Apply: Go to the texas4hfoundation.org website and click “Scholarships” then select the type of scholarship you are interested in (i.e. Baccalaureate, Technical, Courageous Heart, or Collegiate). There will be an “Apply” button on each of the pages that will take you to the new Texas 4-H Foundation Scholarship Portal. You will then create a profile. Additional instructions on how to apply are available on each of the scholarship pages. 1. Applicants must have their application reviewed by their CEA and have their CEA complete the CEA Verification Form. The applicant will need to upload this form with their application. The form is available to print from the Foundation website under the “Apply” button on the Scholarship page or from within their application. 2. Capital Farm Credit Youth Scholarship | apital Farm Credit awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors across Capital Farm Credit market territories. Youth scholarships are awarded using the following eligibility requirements: 1. Funds shall be used to attend an accredited vocational or technical school, college or university. Student must maintain full time status. 2. Applicants must be high school seniors, graduating within the current school year. 3. Ray Stoesser Memorial Scholarship | In partnership with the US Rice Producers Association, the Stoesser family is offering a $5,000 scholarship to one deserving high school senior or current college student who is interested in or is currently pursuing a career in an agriculture-related field. In addition to the monetary award, the selected recipient will serve as a student ambassador for USRPA in 2025, expecting to participate in at least two activities during the calendar year. The recipient will be invited to participate in various USRPA activities, including but not limited to Field Days, legislative activities, Texas Rice Council meetings, conferences, and more. Specific criteria for selection: Applicants should have the intention of pursuing a career in an agriculture-related field. Applications will be accepted from high school seniors, college students, and college graduate students. In addition to completing the online application form, applicants should submit a self-produced video no longer than 5 minutes answering the following question: What is your vision for the next generation of the U.S. rice industry? Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship | In 2024, the STEM Scholarship Program will award $10,000 to 100 recipients studying an eligible STEM major at a 4-year college or university.
